verizon / aol webmail

Does the Remember Me button for this, save just your email address or email address and password?  i clicked it and thought it would just log me right in the next time, but it seems to go to the log in screen every time i click the aol icon and then chrome populates the email and password automatically.  i tried to remove chrome's autopop feature, but the log in seems to only remember my email.  I guess Remember me means remember email address.  why isnt there a feature to keep me logged in?
