verizon/yahoo email

a new advertizing panel has popped up in the top of the emaill panel! the adds have gomr to far! How do I remore this panel out od the email panel?

I have no idea, but am posting in hopes this gets bumped up and someone can answer.  I am about to tell Verizon I pay for my internet / email service and do NOT expect to be hounded with these additional ads, and if they are not removed, I will switch to something else - at least for my email. It is ridiculous !  And sometimes I hit the ad by mistake, wanting to actually hit the first email in the list.  AAArrrgggh.  I tried deleting cookies, setting things in my browser - all to no avail.
