After water damage Samsung Gusto 2 won't ring when receiving calls. Any suggestions?

My wife fell in our pool and got her Samsung Gusto 2 wet. After placing it in a bag of rice most functions have returned to normal. The one exception is it won't ring when receiving calls. I have tried both the soft and hard reset with no luck. Any suggestions?

Does audio work for anything -- text alerts, listening to voice mail messages, powering on, etc.? I'm thinking the speaker was damaged.

unfortunately, if it was water damaged, and the "rice trick" didn't revive everything, the options really are to either live with it or replace the phone.

All sounds seem to work except the phone doesn't ring for incoming calls.

I'm glad your wife is ok. I have fallen or maybe been pushed into several poolsso I feel your pain. I wish I had a solution to fix that device, I've had mixed results with bag of rice technique. The previous poster is correct the next step would be phone replacement.
