How do I remove the text display on outer screen?

Whenever I get a new text message, it shows a text preview of what is in the message on the outer display screen. I'd much rather is just say "New Text Message".

Knowing all of the options for your device is very convenient, L8Nite. I can definitely go over some details with you. I reviewed the settings of the device and I am afraid there is not an option to disable the message preview on the outer screen. I apologize for the inconvenience. GregL_VZW
