How to stop Spam texts

Two or three times a week I get Spam for things like get rich schemes. Is there a way to block them?

You can call verizon and have them block it, or log into verizon wireless on your account, go to your phone, and you can block up to 5 numbers under Call and Message Blocking further down the page under "Plan".

Dwdowty is correct.- you can only block up to 5 phone numbers at one time. Also, blocks will expire 90 days from the date you set your first blocked number. You can reestablish Call & Message Blocking, by visiting My Verizon after the previous blocks expire.

There is another option, if you like to pay $4.99 a month for ‘Usage Controls’. You can block 20 numbers and there is no expiration date.
