Is there a way to retrieve contact information from missed text messages due to late payment?

Payment was due yesterday but was not able to pay until the following afternoon. Missed a few text messages but cannot retrieve neither messages nor the contact information.

Messages cannot be retrieved since they never reached the phone due to the phone being out of service.  Messages can only be retrieved if the connection goes through.
