LG Cosmos 3 powering off and on

I've had the LG Cosmos for about three months. From the outset I've had some peculiar issues. First, the Backup Assistant app would run randomly, despite being set to run at 8:00 a.m. Next, my battery life shortened to about 24 hours, even though I pretty much text only. And now my phone randomly powers off and on, whether it's in a pocket or on a surface. Is this normal?
