LG Dare have backup assistant? Have you found it?

I just activated an LG Dare and can't seem to find the backup assistant.  Searched the verizon wireless website and haven't found anything to help.  Have searched the phone to download it and haven't been able to locate it.

Should have it but need hard reset first if you are just trying to pull contacts to phone

I continued digging and found the backup assistant buried in a menu AND had to pay to connect to download it.  As if I don't pay enough, annoying!
