Can the EnV3 or EnV2 be used on Verizons prepaid plan with no data?

The Env3 does not require a data plan.  I just set mine up.  Had to call and have them do it however.  Not really sure how this affects a prepaid plan tho.

It's my understanding that both would require a smartphone data plan on a prepaid account (a data plan would not be required if activated on a post-pay account).
