Messages with enhanced features cannot be sent to email

I have an LG Octane and need to print some text messages.  Most of the messages I try to forward to my email give me the error message "messages with enhanced features cannot be sent to emal."  What exactly is an enhanced feature and does anyone have a solution for this so that I can get these text messages printed?

Enhanced features include signatures, emoticons, special characters, font styles, etc.
