My phone just shut off?

Please help! My Samung II just shut off. I tried changing battery with my wife & still won't turn on. Any idea's why or what I can do?

Oh dear! Is this the Samsung Intensity II? Does anything show on your screen when charging? Since we know this is not a battery issue, if there is no change, the phone may need to be replaced. How long have you had this phone?

It didn't show anything when charging. Only the keyboard lite up. Only had the phone for a year. We ended up getting a new one. Thank you for trying to help. Never backed up my contacts, so I lost those.
