Phones without Data Plans

What are the nicest phones without data plans? I like the slideout qwerty keyboards best.  Are the LG Ally and LG Englighten able to be activated without a data plan?

If you can find an LG Voyager, grab it.  It was one of the best (basic) phones I had and does NOT require a data plan.  The next version of that was the LG Touch - though it had some issues.

You can also try to find a used LG  Env2 or 3 - they were solid phones for us too.

The LG Ally and Enlighten are smartphones and require data plans.
