Texting issue with Verizon

About a year ago I started having issues with certain people and texting, some people I could send and receive texts with reliably, but others it would depend on the day, or I could send but would never receive their replies (which they had sent) or they would never receive my text in the first place. It has nothing to do with service because I could be texting others at the same time just fine, but the texts would never be sent or their replies never received for certain individuals some days. I have since replaced my phone in hopes that it was the issue, and it has helped restore my ability to reliably text with some of the individuals, but the other half remains where I can text them, but their replies are never delivered. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried taking out the battery? It may need a network reset. I doubt it's the phone, because same happened to my phone, I took the battery out and it worked fine. You want to keep the battery out for at least 15 seconds, it resets the network settings in the phone. If that doesn't work, try updating you PRL, which connects you to the nearest tower. You do so by dialing *228 then call the number and choose option 2. If that doesn't work you may need a new phone. If you do, manufacturer warranty is 1 year and covers defects like that as long as there is no physical damage to the device. If you have Total Equipment Coverage though, (insurance) you have an extended warranty and just call Customer Service and they'll get you a replacement pronto.
