Transferring contacts on backup assistant doesn't work. What can I do?

i Downloaded the backup assistant on my old phone, tried to,download contacts on new phone and it doesn't happen. What can I do? LG Cosmos3

We want to make sure you get your contacts back, JahnA. Have you logged into your online account at http://www.vzw.com/myverizon to check if the contacts are saved in the "My Device" section? What phone model did you previously have?

If both phones have bluetooth you could transfer that way.  My husband got a new basic phone and I used the bluetooth, was quick and easy.  Mary
