Was told I would be able to use pre-paid phone to use on my contact/plan right away

Am now told It must be active for 6 months? this is bullshit. I knew it didnt seem right but asked anyways and got a YES for an answer so went ahead and bought it on ebay

Yes 6 months as prepaid before it can be used as a contract phone from what I have seen talked about on the boards. You should have just bought a used contract phone if you needed one right away.   Mary.re

That is correct, 6 months active on a prepaid plan before you can activate it on a contract.

yep, told me any verizon phone would work. I purchased a prepay for $29.00 @ radio shack & got unlimitted everything for $50 a month. I got 3 phones on the share everything plan and paying over $200 a month for it. when i used up my month of the prepay, i called to switched the phone number to the prepay and they said the same thing ------ 6 months     Verizon ****
