I live in a small town, Trent, SD, but my phone always puts me in another small town area at least 20 miles away. Once in a great while it will say Trent but usually it doesn't seem to be able to locate where I am at.
It's important that your location is as close as possible when using the locator, Dianne'. Are you using Family Locator? Do you experience problems with service in Troy? If you experience low signal, or are operating outside of the Verizon Wireless network, Family locator may have difficulty providing an accurate location.
