Can you download apps for the Samsung Brightside from the web? How much do the cost ? Is there a place on the web that lists all the apps for the basic phones
Data charges apply when downloading apps; some apps are free and some have a cost. I believe there's also data charged when viewing the apps catalog. There used to be an on-line Verizon site for basic phone apps, but I don't think it's available any longer. You might try:
1. Open the menu of your basic phone
2. Find and select "Apps" or “Media Center”
3. Select game or app and follow download instructions
There will be very few apps for basic phones. Don't expect apps as one might find on Google play or Itunes. So you won't be playing candy Crush on your Brightside for example. Also unless you already have a data plan will be charged for data and Verizon charges $1.99 per MB. So even small app can end up costing a lot. Also some apps use data and I don't think the Brightside can use wi-fi.
