can not sign in to aol mail through mobile email software

This morning i woke up and my aol mail account through my mobile mail program asked me for my password since it had expired, which has happened before. so i typed it in and it says username or password wrong so i tried signing in through my mobile web and it worked and i signed in through my computer it worked .so i deleted the account on my mobile email program and tried again and it didn't not work it still says username or password wrong. can someone let me know why this is happening. i have a LGenv3 phone
