my lg cosmos touch screen has has slowly died and no longer works. Phone not under warranty (1.4 yrs old ). Called Verizon and they were no help. Said they weren't aware of any issues with the touch but there own discussion thread tells a different story. Went to Verizon store and they also were no help. I can't wait to dump Verizon. I suggest anyone with similar issues look to another carrier and anyone thinking about adding Verizon -THINK TWICE! .

Correct me if I am wrong but phones on any carrier only come with a 1yr manufacturers warranty unless you pay for extra insurance every month. I highly doubt another carrier would replace it either after 1 yr. Why not contact LG the maker of the phone. Mary

Hi
You are correct, but in my area AT&T was rated the #1 and I assume its not just based on just hardware or coverage, it would include customer service. Two things are in question here. Either other posts are correct and Verizon placed a bug in the phone to get you to buy a new phone and extent the contract. Or LG makes poor quality products in which case who would purchase anything else they make. I would think there would have been a recall or repair/replacement by now with all the complaints. It"s nice sending a monthly check out for a phone that doesn't work!.

Rated #1 or not I don't see where they would have done anything either, they all expect you to buy the insurance and let's face it not worth it on a basic phone. I know people wher I am on AT&T and they have just as many complaints about customer service that I see here on verizon. I went on the various forums for the different companies one day to see if it was greener over the fence and it was about the same from what I could in postings. I have never seen a phone recall by any company and there have been complaints about various models on these forums and not just basic phones either. I am thinking it's like anything these days they slap them together and send them out without fully testing them. Now I am going on 3yrs with my LG ENV3 and that phone had a ton of complaints about shutting it self off constantly. I have never once had that happen with my phone so think I was lucky to get the only good one in the lot, he he. Mary

It's not a shut down problem-it's a touch screen frozen, inoperable problem. My phone was fine too but then slowly misbehaved until full no touch-good luck!

I am having serious problems with my phone. touch screen will not work. no way to access text messages. was told to reset screen, but cannot do that without using the screen. work phone - not up for a renewal. cannot switch to a different one without going out of pocket. other carriers would allow simply swapping out a SIM Card.

You can find anyone that has a spare verizon phone sitting around they will lend you and activate it no problem or pick one up cheap on ebay. I have 3 flip phones here I keep incase our texting phones die. Mary
