Need to upgrade Samsung Convoy with another flip style phone. Want it to be 4G and wifi capable but has to be downward compatible with 3G also.
Was interested in Kyocera Cadence, VZ store told me it was NOT 3G capable. I spoke to someone at Kyocera tech support and they said it was.
Need a definitive answer.
Since the 1xRTT and 3G EDVO network will be eventually phased out in the next few years, none of the new basic phones are capable of connecting to that 3G network and uses the 4G network and VoLTE to handle the voice calls and data access.

however as was said CDMA is being done away with by the end of 2019 anyway.
