Is it possible to disable the side volume buttons? I have a flip phone that I keep in my front pocket. When I go to do anything with the phone, such as answering it, or sending a text, my fingers hit those side buttons and that menu pops up. (big hands) Is there a way to disable them off?
Ragamuffin55, that has to be very frustrating to deal with. We want you phone to be more convenient for your use. Some basic model phones have the ability to disable or lock the volume buttons. In order for us to determine this please provide us with the make/model of yours.

which models do this? My mother in law is in a rest home and she puts a death grip on her phone and turns the ringer volume down. It does not vibrate.

Oh no! We're sorry to hear that your mother in law inadvertently sets her phone to silent. We definitely want to make sure that we do everything we can to help. What is the make and model of her phone? We can review her device and setting options.
