If I purchase a Verizon ready S8 direct from Samsung will it work on the Verizon prepaid plan?

I understand that Verizon phones are not carrier locked.  An S8 purchased direct from Samsung for the Verizon network should then work on the Verizon prepaid plan.  I would just like to get some sort of confirmation that this is true.

Correct, it should work no problem. These devices are elg for prepaid on VZW so you should be all set.
