disable audio notifications for OS and App updates only?

for the past 2 nights, my phone as audio notified me that an OS update is available at 145am. why on earth did Verizon set the audio notification ON for this when knowing they would push out updates overnight???

Anyways...as I understand it, to disable audio notifications you must do so for each app. I do not want to disable ALL audio notifications as I'd like to know when I get a text message, etc. I would like to disable audio notifications for OS and App updates though. Anyone know which App I disable to just stop those?

As a fan of sleep, this subject is near and dear to me, CHAHUD1. In preparation to finding a resolution, much sleuthing went on, but I only found info on the app updates notifications.

Within the Play Store, tap on the three-lined menu button in the upper left. Scroll down and tap on Settings. It's in here where notifications can be unchecked.

thank you but I think that only covers Apps but not OS updates. I would prefer to have a visual update stating "there is an OS update pending, click yes to continue" without an alert tone.

I believe you can turn off audio notifications for specific apps that are installed but I'm not sure which android app would apply for an OS update.

Not sure if this will work or not but try notifications-advanced-3 dots right hand top-show system apps

there is 2 system updates in there if you tap the first 1 it says set as priority I think if you turn that off you shouldn't get sound after that same for the second one. This was the only thing I could find that had sound with it The first system update on my phone was on but the second one was not. I have not changed any of those settings

Try this as it should work:

When you receive the software update notification... you can change the option by long pressing the notification from the quick panel and turn on the "show silently" option.

I'd like for there to be an option within settings but I'm not aware of one.. this is the only way I'm aware to accomplish what your looking to achieve.. which I don't blame you.
