I recently updated my Droid X and when I did, my droid market icon was replaced by a different icon and when I try to access it I get a message of "application is not installed on your phone".
Any idea on how to get my droid app icon back?
No you will not lose them, all you have to do is after reset, setup Google Mail and then open market and press left menu button and select downloads from list and all installed pay apps will be listed, just click and reinstall..
There is only 2 ways I know that seem to work.
1. Reinstall app from a market backup apk (EStrong File Explorer works well) but if you dont have backup already this is not possible.
2. Hard Reset on device. Try follow this process.. http://community.vzw.com/t5/DROID-X-by-Motorola/Minimize-Droid-X-Issues-After-Froyo-Update/m-p/296586#M11211

So from what I'm reading, I have to reset my phone and lose all the apps I have on it now?
Is this correct?
Got it down. Thank you very much.
Unfortunately it only re-downloads ones that have been purchased. It doesn't put free apps back on the phone. It happened to me today too
the same thing just happened to me this morning...help!
