I can't find how to get holidays on my calendar.
If you're using the default calendar, open the calendar, touch More in the upper right, then touch Manage calendars, then turn on Holidays in the United States.
I don't have that option to turn on Holidays in the United States. I just all my calendars in a list and whether I want them turned on or off.
In the upper right hand corner there is 3 dots click on it and there should be an option that says manage calendars. Click on it and there should be an option that shows holidays in United States.
Hello. Thanks, i have the manage calendars option, but no option to turn on holidays. Seriously. If i could do a screen print, i would. And you could see that. Lol. What the heck? I suppose i need to take it to a store..??..
I know my smart phone got a little bit less smart with the last two updates.

I just noticed that the screen comes up after I click manage calendars it has different calendars listed one say my phone, Google (my email address) and Samsung account. Maybe you would need to allow Google to access your calendar.

We know how it feels when an update to a phone makes some unwanted changes, ntrdm72. We appreciate you trying the steps suggested in this thread. I took the liberty of going on Google to see if anyone else had other suggestions. There was one who suggested turning off all the sync options in your calendar settings, restarting the phone, then turning on the sync options again. When they did that, the option to add US Holidays appeared in their GMail list. Please keep us posted about this suggested step to get the holidays on your calendar.

Have you tried signing into your Google calendar on a computer and navigate to the Calendar and added the holidays to it and let that sync with your phone? That's how I added it to my calendar years ago.
Ok, i tried this but it still doesn't show up. I did go online to Google, but just on my phone.

Ok, i have gone online, and dug a bit and found the holidays. It was clicked. I unclicked and reclicked it again. No syncing yet. It also shows the holiday calendar as a separate calendar. It does also show my entries from my phone to the online calendar. Now, along with my mother's phone it is not syncing back from the online calendar to the phone. Well, it's a step in the right direction.... Lol.
I'll restart the phone.
Maybe you should try the Google calendar application instead of the Samsung calendar.
ntrdm72 we want all your calendar functions to work. I know you were going to try restarting your phone did that make any difference? Just to confirm, you have all calendars on under calendar -menu-manage calendars?

Yes, all my calendars are under the manage calendars.
Now my screen won't rotate and I've lost that option under display.
