Starting yesterday afternoon, all of my calls are coming into my Galaxy S7 as "Remote Call." What is this, and why is it happening? More importantly, how do I stop it?
Spoke to level 2 tech. She was aware of issue. On HER end, she REMOVED advanced calling feature and then re-added it. Problem fixed! And yes --- Advanced calling/wifi calling is still working on my phone. Enjoy!

That didn't help. A software update is what is going to fix this. It is annoying since I have to hit the back button to be able to end a call. I don't have the calling feature enabled on my tablet or my watch and yet it still does it. #verizonwireless needs to resolve this problem with #messages+ quick becuase it is stupid that I have to deal with this.
I just talked to Verizon and turning off Advanced Calling and that was a quick fix for now.
The problem is we shouldn't have to turn any feature off to make our equipment work correctly.

DIVEANDTELL, this is a mystery to us too! Did you recently update the software on your device or download a new application to it? Have you powered your phone off/on since this issue started happening?

I just had the same issue you will have to call Verizon and have them turn off something called integrated messenger. The technician just told me there is a glitch in the system with the last update that was rolled out
This is now a known issue by Verizon. I spoke to a customer service rep
this morning, and he had the same problem. He made some changes to my
account remotely, and was able to resolve the issue.

What did he change? I have turned my Advanced Calling on and off several times and restarted my phone several times and still getting the stupid Remote Call issue!!!!!
It's not a mystery this is a known problem and someone needs to figure out the fix quickly!
You have to call Verizon and they make changes remotely.

I talked to verizon and one of the work around is disable advanced calling but this is no good. that disables video calling and you can't use data while on a phone call. pretty much have to wait for app update. This started after getting Nuget update. What I did to fix was go under managed devices in the settings of message+ and remove all devices except phone number. I had originally register my tablet with message+ for messages and calling but at this point it's an annoyance on my phone to have to switch screens to end calls bc that "pull" screen goes on top. Hope they update the app as I can no longer use it on my tablet. I first try disabling the calling part on app for tablet but that didn't work and even shut down the tablet but it didn't matter as long as there was another device registered. The pull option would be nice if it didn't always go on top of the actually call which allows you to hang up.
actually this only worked when I sent a call...need to test more as I'm still receiving calls with remote call on top

Go into your account and remove "Integrated Calling" Off your features. This will stop it.
What is 'Integrated Calling'?
That is a great question, Jrh4054. Integrated Calling is the general term that refers to any technology that allows the interaction between your phone and computer systems. This can be a system which allows calls between multiple devices such as computers, tablets, smarthphones and other electronic devices. An automated system that dials into a computer first and gets transferred to another department.

I think jennakris said 'integrated calling' but mean advanced calling. The original issue had nothing to do with a computer.
That thing showed up on my S7 tonight too. I couldn't get rid of it, and I tead all of the yellow solutions on here, and finally just rebooted my phone and when it came back on the icon was gone. Not sure hiwnpeemanent that is, but since it seems like a pretty easy fix.
