Droid 2 vs R2D2 Question

Ok I have held this question in long enough :smileyhappy: , can someone please clear things up for me, why is the R2D2 Droid 2 price is $100.00 higher than the original Droid 2? Other than a few tweaks I dont see any reason that the company can explain the price diffrence. I am just wondering because I think thats a little bold to realease 2 of the same exact devices at almost the same time but charge more for the other because of a graphics sticker..

As for knocks on GL making money, I'd say I would rather it be him than some huge faceless corporation, or third-world sociopathic dude who also sells guns and drugs. I would rather reward a great innovator and risk-taking American. I also like the choice of None Of The Above. You could always buy a ifruit and pay, pay, pay, pay for what Google is encouraging for free. FREE! Oh, I love that word. FREE! Whoopppeee! All the best words begin with F and have four letters!

You don't have to hate GL cuz he makes money. Unlike the big PC monoploy company, you do have choices and get a lot of vlue for your dollars.

I got my R2D2 for the same price as the Droid 2, plus I received the $100 rebate (in the form of a rebate card). And as I told you earlier, Wildman, as far as functionality, I see absolutely no difference between the Droid X and the Droid 2. If you know how to use one, you can easily use the other one.

I will help set this record straight...there are 3 versions of the droid 2. The original droid 2 has a 1GHZ processor, all black with a glossy charcoal finish. The R2D2 has the same processor, with a chrome finish on the front and a sexy paint job on the back. It's not some cheap sticker or skin, it's real paint and it's not a white back, it's more so a pearl escent background. It comes with a collectible multi media charging station and a nice pair of resents which have a microphone on them.

The droid 2 global has the same finish externally as the droid R2D2 but the global version utilizes a 1.2 GHZ processor.
