Getting "DQA Keeps stopping" message after i did the security update. Anyone know how to fix? I have a S8 Plus
We appreciate everyone's patience while the team worked on providing us a fix. As most of you have noticed, S8/S8+ users who are having this issue should be and will be notified by Galaxy Apps for an upgrade (over the air) to address the issue.

Same here. Got my S8 today, did the Android update and now "DQA keep stopping" popup in the middle of my screen over and over.
Same with mine. I had to restart my phone a few times but this last time it popped up once and hasn't been back. Has anyone found anything else out yet??
I've restarted mine 5 or 6 times and it is still popping up all the time.
Verizon customer service replied to me on twitter. I'll report back what I find out.
Same issue here.
I had luck doing this:
1. Go to the App Manager under settings
2. Use the drop-down menu in the top right to enable "Show System Apps"
3. Find DQA from the app list
4. Select "Data Usage"
5. Disable "Allow background data usage"
Since I don't know what DQA is, I wouldn't call this a long-term solution, but it should hold until Samsung can issue a fix/patch. Let me know if this helped, it worked for me! I saw other people on other boards suggest doing a system catch from Recovery mode, but that didn't do it for me, nor did restarting my phone several times.
Got the same issue after the update. It seems related to wifi. I don't get the message when i wifi off. Dqa stands for data quality assessment, so it seems to be a bhug in this update that affects wifi.it also slows down connection.
Yes. It seems to only happen with WiFi on.
Verizon customer service is telling me to force quit DQA via the system app manager.
@Despite: I tried that, it did nothing for me. See my solution above, that's the only thing I could get to work.
Disabling DQA background Data - Still Happens
Boot to Recovery clear cache - Still Happens
Force Stop DQA - Still Happens
DQA force stop seems to have done the trick for me.
I did the DQA Force stop and it seems to be working for now, hope the fix this bug soon
Same here, the only time it doesn't show is if my Wi-Fi is off. Unfreaking believable.. im never pre ordering or getting a device on the first day ever again. Im very dispointed with samsung and samsung for Verizon.
Not for me, keeps happening after multiple restarts, clean cache, and force stop/disable background for DQA
Quite an amazing piece of QA (for a QA app!) by Samsung, hitting all carriers and the problem is evident in seconds.
Having the same problem.
I am waiting for the battery to catch on fire
Now I'm here, on my old galaxy s6+, wondering, why did a just paid to update early, should very waited. I can't say it enough, Samsung I'm very very very upset and mad with the new phone that already have a glitch. Don't you guys test updates before hand. [removed]. I hope Verizon let me cancel this purchase all together. I don't want to exchange or anything. I'm happy with my old phone. So far nothing on the galaxy s8 surprised me. Just head aches.

Same thing with my s8 plus, force stopped, disabled background use....nothing stops it. Guess I'll burn through my data off Wi-Fi. Thanks verizon....
Now I'm here, on my old galaxy s6+, wondering, why did a just paid to update early, should've waited. I can't say it enough, Samsung I'm very very very upset and mad with the new phone that already have a glitch, the finger print sensor is in a very weird spot, i keep hitting my camera lenses. The iris sensor doesnt work. The screen of the s8 is too narrow that the extra screen they added by removing the button made no difference. I didnt get the s8+ because reviews said it was as big as a note, and i dont want a phone any bigger than the s6+. [removed] did i do..im so mad at mysrlf for falling for the VR deal, that it turns out there was a glitch on the samsung web, i couldnt register to get one, stay on hold with them for 2 hours, to findout i missed the windown to purchase the bundle..now im stuck with a phone without the bundle i was looking foward to it.. ironic...

I installed package disabler pro from the play store and disabled com.samsung.android.dqaagent. Now I am no longer getting the error message even when wi-fi is enabled. None of the other suggestions here worked.
I have tried all the suggestions here and none of them worked so I decided I would check in the morning , took off my Samsung Gear watch and powered the watch off. Then I noticed that DQA error pop-up stopped popping up! It has been nearly an hour now and still no more DQA error messages. I powered my watch back on and still no more error messages. Did it get fixed by the carrier, coincidence, or did temporarily stopping the blue tooth connection do it? However it happened, mine is fine now.

Having the same problem here. Just got off the phone with Verizon chat, they told me they'd not heard of the issue yet and wanted me to factory to reset... Took 3 hours to configure the thing, I'm not up for doing that again.
We never want you to have a device you don't totally love. The Galaxy S8+ is a great device and Samsung is working hard on fixing any glitches on the device. You can view details on the device ordered at VZW.com. Also, the promotion redemption period should not have ended quite yet. If you preordered a Galaxy S8 or S8+ before 4/20/2017, you have the option to redeem this promotion with Samsung online. You can redeem this downloading the Shop Samsung app or by visiting https://promos.samsung.com/infinitelyimmersive. You should have at least until May to finish the redemption process. Let us know if this helps.

Change battery setting in system setting to mid until new update. No more errors while on wifi.
I am having the same issue after update . I forced stop the app and it seems to have gone away for the moment.
Go to system settings and change battery settings to Mid, that will stop the problem with WiFi until new update is released.
S8+ had same issue after updating. Force stop app, disable background data, restart. Notification returned, so I force stopped it again. After that, the message hasn't returned. My WiFi is still on. Good luck! Hope they get this sorted out.
This phone is very slippery. Much worse than my S5.
Force stop of DAQ system app is very temporary fix, as it turns itself back on.
Anyone know how to disable the [removed] thing????
Changing battery to Mid seems to have worked for me.
Same experience. Activated my new S8 yesterday and everything was great until I allowed the update overnight.
Force stop doesn't work, it keeps restarting DNA and the message keeps appearing.
I have 2 S8's. Did the update on both. Mine doesn't have the error but my wife's does. I don't know what is different between the 2 phones.
I went to Settings, Data Usage, and turned the Data Saver to "on". The message hasn't popped up in a couple of hours after doing it constantly.
Having the same DQA issue i located a simple fix on YouTube that has seemed to work for me. Open up Bixby using the lower button on the left of the phone and once open swipe left. Sounds to simple but it worked for me
Same problem. Turning off the wifi did the trick for me.
Turn off Wi-Fi works for me, but I don't have enough data. I went to the Battery in Settings, and used Advanced Settings in the right corner, selected APP Power monitor, and turn off Put unused APP to sleep. No pop-up since then
I did a chat with verizon support and they are clueless, I even gave them the link to this post. I did the changing the batter settings to MID and that suppressed the message. i told the same to the VZ tech. I also told them that I do not look at this as a fix, but, more of a band aid and that im sure I am not the only one who will be looking for a update to correct this .
Thanks! This worked for me!!
I did the DQA fix and after a few restarts the issue went away. I went out and connected to a new Wi-Fi and bam. The problem is back. Ugh. It's has become quit annoying. I will try the fix again with the new Wifi.
Force stop the DQR in applications. That worked for me.
Yep, same problem here. "DQA keeps stopping" will NOT stop popping up. Is actually getting worse on my s8, popping up every few seconds. This needs to be fixed, and not by me; the update caused this, so . . . what is being done about it? I'm trying to be patient, but it's getting really annoying. Guess I'll be calling tech soon . . .
This stopped working. Still getting the pop up
Go to settings then applications. Force stop the DQA application. That works.
I love how Verizon's response to a faulty update push is "check out the promo items that Samsung is offering " i bought an s8+ on April 4th got my phone yesterday like so many ppl and tried to redeem the promo just to be told they sold out that I should have done it sooner even though I didn't have the phone to get the numbers required to enter for the rebate
This is the case I bought on Amazon, love it. Amazon.com: Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Case, Zizo [ION Series] w/ FREE [Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Screen Protector] Crystal Cle…
That fixed worked for me until I left my home and disconnected for the WiFI. When I returned home and reconnected to WiFi, the application launched and the error screen returned. That fix seems to work as long as the WiFi does not have to re-connect.
So are they going to refund data the it is requiring me to use because I can't use wifi?
Please Try Settings> Wifi> Select Forget Wifi & Then reconnect with your password again
Just logged into a new Wi-Fi and it still does it.
Interesting. I just reconnected my Wifi and that worked. If it comes back I will try this!
We'd like to ensure this error stops, we have a few steps to attempt:
Option A: 1. Turn your Wi-Fi off and the error will stop.
Option B: 1: Go to the App Manager under Settings 2: Use the drop-down menu in the top right to enable "Show System Apps" 3: Find DQA from the app list 4: Select "Data Usage" 5: Disable "Allow background data usage"
Option C: 1. Go to the App Manager under settings 2. Select System applications at the top 3. Find the DQA application and hit force close
Option Go into the settings and turn off High Performance setting
Option E: Turn the battery setting to MID
How about you just fix the [Removed] thing so we don't have to jump through
hoops to use a phone that is essentially broken out of the box? Samsung
really blew it on this one.

My Twitter DM with VZWSupport only was around the DQA app in app manager.
A I think that did work.
B Did not try to restrict background data (will do that if it continues)
C NO WORK, Failed, and rebooting did not work either.
D Unknown, never had High performance on
E Unknows, did not change that, stayed on factory presets.
What did work for me was "forgetting" the wifi access I was using and
re-entering the password. However it seems the AM time I got the issues
yesterday. Hope this helps.
If most of tomorrow is error free I will change performance setting and the
battery performance and see what happens.

Think we will get a free quarter of service, phone payment, or maybe a few
accessories for doing the testing and troubleshooting? That would be
nice. Still on the fence about the phone, don't like the finger print
sensor so close to the camera.

This morning I am getting the error again, 5 of them in 2 minutes.
Just tried to limit background data using the app manager but that does NOT work either.
The ONLY thing I found that works is to turn off wifi BUT now I/we have to use our data. will have to talk to VZ about unlimited data until this is fixed.
I tried this and it didn't work. Still getting the error message for DQA
I believe this has been patched by Samsung, have you attempted searching for OS updates?
I have gone to "settings" and searched under "system" updates but it doesn't come up. Any advice would be appreciated.
Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
SERIOUSLY Verizon? check for updates???
Please understand how this works. I am surprised by not VZ does not understand this.
You can't "ask" for the update through the OS or the Samsung Store. It is pushed from Samsung through their apps store with no way to ask for it. It just pushes it and there is no other way to see it or look back at the history once you get it.
See the picture below for the 3 messages, notification, the update screen, then conformation.
