How do I remove the text display on outer screen?

Whenever I get a new text message, it shows a text preview of what is in the message on the outer display screen. I'd much rather is just say "New Text Message".

I have the Kyocera DuraXV lte

Hello, have you found a resolution or trashed the phone by now? It’s annoying and an invasion of privacy in my opinion.

Knowing all of the options for your device is very convenient, L8Nite. I can definitely go over some details with you. I reviewed the settings of the device and I am afraid there is not an option to disable the message preview on the outer screen. I apologize for the inconvenience. GregL_VZW
