Messaging Plus issus

My wife recently upgraded to an LG Stylo 2V. She doesn't sync email or other content to other devices. Every time she gets a message telling her to activate "messaging+". How do we default this phone to standard messaging once messaging plus has been installed? Extremely annoying.

You should verify which message application is set as default. You should also disable the Verizon Messages+ application if you don't intend to use it.
