How do I turn on email sync? I am unable to get any emails on my Samsung S5 smartphone.

What was stated in this thread is correct. You can remove the account by going into your Settings > Accounts and removing from this menu. Once it is removed, you would need to add it again and it should be able to sync. If you are still having issues with this, please let us know and we will continue to work with you.

Pull down the notification shade with two fingers and ensure that Sync is on.
Settings > Accounts > Email > tap the e-mail account > ensure Sync is turned on.
My sync is on. I don't see an email in my accounts which I have had since I started using this phone.

Samsung phones sometimes drop e-mail sync for whatever reason; you may have to remove the account and set it back up.
I will try to open another account.
