I was told that with Google Maps I could get turn by turn voice directions similar to a GPS device like Magellan or Tom Tom. Can someone please tell me how to do that?
Across one of the home screens are four icons one of which is the gps icon. tap it to turn on GPS
then Tap the Maps icon. This will bring up a map. click the menu key on lower left of your DX and tap Directions.
Just click launcher button and look for a blue arrow icon labeled as "Navigation" or press search button and say Navigate to "Location Name" and gps will open and start giving directions.
Actually, you don't even have to Tap on the Nav button ... just press the Microphone Icon and say "Navigate to blah blah.." .. At least that's how mine is working.
edit: But you have to have GPS turned on in advance.
i used teh Goole Nav from Iowa to DC no issues. the Icon is a little blue arrow. and you can use Goole maps to finde places and make them a stared item. so they are always in teh data base of the nave system.
