Prepaid Unable to send or receive texts

HI,

I just bought a Samsung Gusto 3, and for some reason I am unable to send or receive text messages outside of my zip code. The phone says "Network not responding." I have been the rough multiple support calls and it isn't getting fixed. Is anyone else having this problem?
