My clock is not properly showing the time. Does not matter if I select the correct time zone or change the time manually, it still corrects it to an hour earlier than it needs to be. Is anyone else having this problem since the newest upgrade?
The phone clock automatically picks up the at your location from the VZW network. I'm not aware of a way to manually change the time.
I rely on my phone clock to keep me on time and definitely want your phone to be on time as well, J3NNY3721. Let's dig into this and make sure your time is displaying correctly. What's the zip code where you're located? When did this start? Have you powered off and on at all?

When you go into settings-date and time do you have automatic date and time on?
The last two days, my phone is also displaying the wrong time.
I have the correct setting, my location is on & yesterday my phone reset after I drove 10 miles?!
I rebooted my phone after I got to work But the same thing happened this am & the wrong time is still showing as an hour later.
This error cost made me late to my job!
Oh no! I'm so sorry you were late to work, CUTEGIRLTUSHY. Let's get this fixed.
Do you also have the Galaxy S7? Did you recently do an update? Please try going to Settings> Date And Time> uncheck Automatic date and time. Once that is done, you can set the correct date and time manually and see if the time stays correct.

what does correct setting mean...you either select the network or set time manually??
I spoke with a Verizon tech & he started a work ticket.
I have the most recent update.
I had it set on automatic time.
2 days in a row, when I woke up, it was 1 hour behind. I live in Pacific time zone.
The tech advised me to use manual setting until fix could be resolved.
He saw other outstanding tickets that started after the update.

I hate to resurrect a dead thread, but I figured it was better than starting a new one.
I'm having the same problem. A while back I found that my phone was displaying the wrong time. It was one hour slow, or one time zone west. I don't remember if it was triggered by a daylight savings time change, or the latest software update. I changed the settings from automatic to manual and corrected it. That fixed the time display on the clock but I started noticing other apps that were quirky. I had one that tracks gps location that would show me in the correct place on a map but give me an error of unable to verify gps. I did not see a correlation with that until today. I also noticed that when I would post to Facebook my posts would automatically say "posted an hour ago". That was a very minor annoyance so I paid it very little attention. Then recently while playing a game (pokemon go) with my wife I noticed that in game timers were showing an hour longer for her than they were for me and I was unable to interact with timed events while she was able to. So that got me thinking that while the time was displaying correctly because I had set it manually, something internal was causing conflicts with my location and or time settings that these apps are reading.
I set my time back to automatic, checked to make sure my updates were current and powered off my phone. When I powered it back on, it displayed the correct time for a minute or so before reverting to central time (I'm in eastern time zone 28146). I powered it off again, even removing the sim card for a minute, but still it shows correct time for a minute then reverts. Sure, I could set the time back to manual to have the clock right, but I'd like to fix the actual problem so that the other apps will function appropriately as well.
It is mid July & I am still having this clock-time-zone issue since the 1st Nougat update!
I have been replied to here which directed me to start a tech ticket. The issue was resolved momentarily after a 2nd update. I reached out via text to the tech again who had texted me that it was resolved. After the 3rd update, it was resolved momentarily, also.
The issue is 100% that the Verizon network is recognizing me as being in Alaska's time zone. I live on the west coast. I can manually set my time but that does not resolve the fact that Verizon has me in the wrong time zone.
Another poster now has me worried that my apps are responding in the wrong time zone. I am not tech savvy enough to know how Verizon interfaces with apps?!
With all this said, this all became an issue today because I did a restart & a power off/on reboot, respectively. This is something I do regularly.
Very frustrated. Verizon, please resolve once & for all!
Same problem here, on 9/21/17 on my Note 4. Exactly 1 hour off. Date and time settings are automatic, but time zone says it's Mountain Daylight time, and I'm pretty sure there aren't any mountains here in Chicago.
Manually setting the time zone works for now, but not sure what else this will affect. I plan to travel soon and really need to be able to rely on the automatic settings.
paulwasserman,
I know that it's crucial for you to be able to count on your phone showing the correct time, no matter where you are. Let's figure this out. When you go to Settings>Date & Time, the first option is automatic. However, there is also an Automatic Time Zone setting. Is Automatic Time Zone checked as well? This can impact the time displayed, even if the first automaticl setting is checked. Keep us posted, and let us know the setting, so we can proceed from there.
MichelleH_VZW
MichelleH_VZW, you are wrong about there being a separate Automatic Time Zone setting. There is only one date and time automatic setting. It is Automatic date and time. The only other setting is Use 24-hour format.
I recently had the same problem while in Nashville CTZ I live in Knoxville TN EST. Please let me know if you had your problem resolved and how.
Thanks Jenni
I'm in a central time zone it keeps converting back to Eastern , daylight savings time has been changed back.(fallback)phone did not adjust. the suggestions you made are not working it is not converting to Daylight Savings Time and back every time I manually set the time and put it in central it converts back to the original wrong time.please fix this problem I need my clock to work properly to make my appointments on time this is extremely annoying! For the amount of money paid for a phone it should work perfectly every time, I never had a problem with the S4 Mini always work the way it was supposed to sorry I upgraded .ugh
Arizona does not change time and can't get my clock to reflect proper time zone
My whole family has this problems in AZ. All of our phones are showing an hour ahead which is wrong because we don't have daylight savings time. Messed our entire morning up.
Oh, no. Goodgazda, this seems odd but no worries, we will definitely get to the bottom of things for you. The clock should definitely reflect the timezone you are in. What type of phone do you have?

We'd like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, dunerinaz. I rely on my phone's clock to keep me on time throughout the day and want you to be able to rely on your phone clock. Let's look into this. Please power the phone off and back on. Please also ensure your phone is set for automatic time zone in your settings. What is the make and model of your phone?
Immediately after the last major Verizon update my phone has been 3 to 4 hours off. I missed a job interview because of this! I thought I did something but it kept happening and then I saw this thread. Why!
I have the same issue. I have an android and my wife has an iPhone with 2 different times on my Verizon plan. What's up
Hello, Edorini, and thank you for reaching out to us. We'd be more than happy to assist you with any questions, or concerns regarding your Verizon account. Have you by chance performed a power cycle on your device since this has started to happen? AnthonyM_VZW
Where is that found in settings on the Galaxy S7?
I want to make sure you know how to navigate through to change this setting. Please go to Settings> General Management. Does that help?

I'm having the same problem.
