phone number has 1 in front of it, can call but can't text

Anyone else have this problem. I have no problem calling this phone number, but when I try to text to this number, the 'message info' says 'sent' but is not ever delivered. I did check with the recipient, and he didn't get the text....any help out thers?

Have you tried sending the text message without the 1 in front of the number? Are they also on Verizon Wireless?

I would be worried if I could not call out KrisB50, in this case to be able to send the text message it would be necessary to remove the number 1 at the beginning so that the message can go through correctly.
