When my phone times out it has the date time and a msg that says," this phone belongs to..." does anyone know where to go to personalize it?

That is correct, that isnt a stock feature and it appeears that a number of anti-virus apps are adding this option. So if you have any anti-virus running on device you may want to check into its settings.
