Brightside Will Not Make Calls

Beginning last night my Brightside stopped making calls. All the other features, Web Browser, calculator, camera, alarm etc., work fine.

There is no dial tone when I punch in a number. I tried calling my home answering machine and while the call shows up it was not picked up by my machine.

The phone has also been periodically shutting down. Is this a battery issue? Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it still able to receive calls without trouble?The only thing that occurs to me for that model would be attempting a reset by going into your phone security is settings. However, that erases anything on the phone, so make sure to backup any contact info or photos you might have on the phone first.

johnbrowne11209, I know that you need your phone to work for all the functions. It seems to be a device issue since you mentioned it's been powering off as well. I want to learn more about this issue. Are you able to receive calls? Can you send/receive text messages? Have you tried powering off, removing battery, inserting battery, then testing another call?
