Questions regarding the speaker phone.

Whenever my cheek touches the speaker phone button and accidently turns it on, it basically destroys my hearing. How can I turn the speaker phone off? Or at least turn it down without losing the ability to hear my notifications (i.e. when I have a new email or text message)?

I'm very sorry to learn of any issues with your speakerphone button. We sure don't want anything happening to your hearing! Let's take a closer look into this.

When you're on a call, your display should go dark. This device has a "Smart Stay" feature that keeps your screen on. Please check this feature, so then when you put the phone to your face, you will not have to worry about hitting that button, since the screen will be dark. You would just go to Apps/Settings/Display. Please make sure Smart Stay is off.
