I don't use anything to "Synch" my calendar with since I typically don't use anything "synch-wise"
Do I have to use another app or can't I simply create a calendar on my Droid. Does this make sense?
Under Menu -> Settings -> Accounts you do have a google account set up, correct? Did you use this same google account to create your calendar as the one shown here?
What happens when you start the calendar? Does it immediately tell you that you need to sync? If not you should be able to go to Menu -> More -> Calendars and select a google calendar to sync with.

In other words - is the only way to enter appointments into my calendar on my phone by having to use Google calendar first & having to synchronize it? I use a paper calendar @ he office & do not use outlook or Google calendar to set appointments - there's no need for me to do that.
Sooo I have to log on to my desktop, enter my appointment in my google calendar & then synchronize it to my droid??
You have to set up a google calender, yes, but once it is set up you never have to access it. You can simply access it via your droid after it is set up. All of your appointments can be created, editing, deleted using just your device (after the initial setup).
ok I think I have it set up - on my phone it says I need to sycrhonize a calendar before creating a new event. I have no idea how to do this! Any info?
