Moto Z2 Force is supposed to have the Android 9.0 update, but does not. What is going on?
The updates are written by the manufacturer and issued by the manufacturer. Verizon Wireless isn't the manufacturer of that phone.

So to piggyback on the OPs question: Has there been talk from Motorola(Lenovo) to Verizon on releasing 9.0 for the Z2 Force? I did a quick search, and found T-Mobile is working with Motorola to get a release of 9.0 on Z2 Forces for it's customers.......
