S8+ made a loud alert sound and shut off

Hello,

During a call... my phone mad a loud alert sound and then shut off. I have been troubleshooting for 2hrs. been charging it for 1.5 hrs.

No charging light...

Please help!!!!

Could it be an overheated or failed battery?

Oh, no! Having a phone that shuts off is never fun. Two hours is too long to be troubleshooting. You've come to the right place for assistance. When did issue begin? Has there been a recent software update or a new app download? Have you tried a different charger/USB cable to rule out it is not a charger issue?
