I just downloaded it and on my home screan I have my calender, a notepad and my favorits and it wont stop doing the clockwise circle thing like its loading. But it has been doing it for the past 10min and it wont stop?
Any comments?
My download and install completed after a server initiated update. Shortly after midnight I rebooted the phone and the update proceeded. About 10 min. later the install took place. The only thing I had to kill and restart was the motorala date and time widget. After looking around, I also found that Adobe flash is now installed and works fine. Simplest upgrade I have ever experienced.

Got in late on the fun because I just got to work, but 2.2 is up and running without issues and I am happy to say..... Finally I got volume!!!! , Im good now, havenet tested anything else because the volume was my important item and I got what I needed... Now Ill focus on testing all other features.
So happy. My phone is so fast. Like the changes too. Awesome phone!
for you people saying you arent getting the update manually it will be sent out over the air tomorrow regaurdless so get some sleep it'll be like christmas
only issue i noticed was i had to reboot a few times because my home keys stopped lighting up but now it seems to be fine had to reset a few things but so far im good.
The camera quality is way better also, I have took a number of shots and I am loving the images now... Poor Camera 360 may be set to the back burner now and the photo album I like also... Cant wait to start really digging into the update but I have to sit on it for now because I have to work..
YEAYUS got my update done and installed SC
Got mine when I woke up at 3:00am here in NW Arkansas. hit the update and bam she was there. Took 15 min and I can tell the diference already, didn't delete any my apps everything seems fine. Now to get busy and root, clock and see what this bad boy is realy capable of doing!!

But this is NOT Android 2.3.15...there's no such thing. It's system version 2.3.15, but still Android version 2.2
Go in to your "About Phone" in the settings.....seeeeeeeee?

to the previous post up top.... 2.3.15 is the newest version of froyo..although its still 2.2, its a better version of it.

sorry iGeO. because it has a higher number doesn't mean it's "better". I don't believe there is any documentation that would make this version of 2.2 better or even "different" than other versions. Any differences would be strictly based on needs for this phone and carrier.

Congrats to everyone running Froyo, and I am definitely jealous. Unfortunately I will be out of the country until the end of the year and have very limited internet speed while here. Does anyone know if a VZW signal is necessary after installation of Froyo to complete the update? If not, possibly spending a whole day downloading Froyo might be worth it Thanks for all the help!
there are a number of folks having issues with Froyo OTA delivery and installation, were *I* out of the country I'd just wait to let this thing settle a bit. Granted percentage wise it seems a small number with the problems but it may be aggravated if you are updating on a slow link. (2 cents)

I'm on the coast of SC and The update was available around 9:00. Everything works great, So far.
