Lotus Notes Calendar sync with Droid

I've looked a few different places online (including the Verizon Wireless FAQ) for information on how to get my Lotus Notes calendar at work to sync with my Droid X.  I don't need the email, just the calendar.  The FAQ said using the Exchange, which my company doesn't use.  Is there a way to do it without paying for the $70 app I saw?  Thanks.

I use the $70 CompanionLink express product and it works pretty well for syncing my Google calendar with my Notes Calendar.  It is completely reliant upon my PC running Notes to be able to connect to both Google and my Domino server for the sync to occur.  They do have a 14 day demo.

 

IBM is in the process of developing a Notes Client similar to what is available for the iPhone/iPad.  It is currently in Beta which you could try to join.  My IT group won't let me use my X with our Domino server so this option is out for me.

To get this to work there are some requirements on the server side that your IT group may not approve.
