Droid 2 Hot Spot speeds

I'm considering the Droid 2 to use as a hot spot for my lap top. Can anyone tell me what to expect for download/upload speeds?

The typical speeds are from 600 to 1.4 megabytes (8 seconds) for downloads and 500 to 800 kbps (13 seconds) for uploads.
