Not receiving text messages from friend in Europe on European device and company

We have friends that are in Europe, have phones with TMobile Europe (different from USA, same company).

They have tried to text me, but I do not receive anything. Telekom (formerly T-Mobile), Telenor, and Vodafone are the 3 companies.

I have called tech support and international; no one knows what to do.

ly on the sending end & nothing verizon has control over.
