Just curious about shipping?

Okay well i ordered my Droid X on 7/24 which is a Saturday. The person on the phone said it'd be shipped on Monday. so i know it's back ordered and all but why did she have to get my hopes up and say Monday and when i called on Monday, the other person on the phone said it'll be shipped 8/4. Now online it says it'll be shipped by 8/4. So will i have it be shipped 8/4 or will it ship on 8/4? Online says "by" 8/4 so which will it be?

Based upon what I have been seeing from other buyers of the Droid X, I would expect you will get an email informing you that your new Droid X has shipped in the next day or two.  The 8/4 date is a no later than date as many people who ordered at the end of last week, have already gotten their shipping notification and in some cases the phone itself.  Good luck.
