Why can’t I block the Snapchat app on my sons IPhone X?

He is still able to open the app and receive and send snapchats both on Wi-Fi and cell data. It makes me wonder what else is working like it should. In Smart Family I have blocked all social media. I double checked and that is still on. He keeps finding ways around it all.

He is using Wifi. Gets around cellular restrictions.

What's point of giving your kid an overpriced smartphone when you want to restrict everything? Either get him a flip phone or take it away. Your carrier is not a co-parent.

Or change the wifi password...I don't see why people want help for a problem they created.

We understand the desire to prevent our children from accessing certain sites. To block Snapchat from his device, go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Enable Ristrictions. Choose a 4-digit passcode that only you will know. Under the Privacy section, tap on the type of data you'd like to restrict and change the settings to your liking. LisaL_VZW

Phones can be used for school if they don't have a computer, and it's already connected to service. It's much easier to finance a phone versus a computer, and computers need wifi which not everyone can afford. Maybe you should not pass judgment if you can't even consider to use critical thinking. Seems to me like you're creating a problem that doesn't exist as well! Apparently, there's a parent looking for help for the better of their child so they don't end up a pompous wiseguy such as yourself.
