Birthday Notification

I was wondering if there is something that I need to select in order to receive notifications of the birthdays in my contact list.  I've looked everywhere am I missing something?

I don't know of a native way to do this, but if you go to the market and search "birthday", you'll find a number of apps that say they do this. I've not personally tried any of them so can't recommend one over the other.
