Kin Two Battery Life

Just wondering if this is normal. I just got the Kin two and have to charge it every night. I just text and talk. I have not even used the camera within the past day or the video/ wi fi- nothing. The battery takes 4 hours to charge. Is that normal? should i turn my phone off to charge it? or can i leave it on ?

Yes, it's pretty typical these days to have to charge phones every night, one reason being displays are so much larger than they used to be. And if you use Bluetooth at all, that can be a battery drain.

You can leave your phone on while charging. I always charge mine overnight and leave it on so I can use the alarm.

Re: your question about charging time, I wouldn't worry too much about it ... every phone is different. If you experience battery problems in the future, you can take it into a Verizon store and they'll test it for you.

I've had/been using the 2m since christmas day.came out of the box about half charged.i only charged it about 3 times since then.use it for talk/text mostly.the wi fi does drain it a little more,but if i am on it at home i just plug in the phone.havent tried the zune yet,but i am sure it will drain some more that just talking/texting.so far i have no complaints about battery life

I only charge my phone every couple of days...definitely not every night! I don't use it a ton, but it's also not like it's sitting in my purse or pocket all day. Some days might be fairly heavy use, other days, not so much...but I'm charging my phone right now, I think for the first time since Monday at the very latest, and it's now Wednesday.

The kin two is an all in all disappointment..Tried returning mine but without knowing the 30 day trial ended last week. The battery like is given a 6 out of 10 on my opinion. It has a very bad battery life in my opinion and I recommend, not to have anyone buy this phone, or them too will be disappointed. Great Im stuck with this phone for the next 2 years. ):

Sorry you didn't know the return policy was changed to 14 days. But if you purchased before Jan. 16, you still get 30 days.

How long does your battery usually last? cause i know mine greatly exceeded my expectations. I can easily get a 5-6 days if it happens to be low-use during that week, and 2-3 on regular/medium use. it lasts more than a day, 1-2 on heavy use. It think that is wonderful for a phone. I get the impression you have some settings on that are greatly draining your batteries. Do you keep the wifi on? That will eat your battery really quickly. Only turn it on when you are using it, since it always tries searching for new networks. Also, are you in a poor service location? If your phone is constantly searching for service, that will also kill your batteries. Other than that, i can't see why you would get any less than those great (in my opinion, anyways) battery durations for your phone, unless you expect better battery than that, which most phones out there don't even meet and drain quicker than.

Not every phone is designed for everyone. You should've done some research before purchasing, but sorry you're stuck with a phone you don't like.

I have to charge my new Kin TWOm every night also. My last phone was every other day max. I called Verizon and they just said that's they was it is. The phone is a hog.
