Screen going black, will not come back on..HELP

So, for about the last month (had to get a new phone b/c I dropped mine and the screen shattered into a million pieces) I am assuming this one is refurbished b/c I went through insurance.

 

Since I have had the new one it keeps going BLANK, it will not turn on. But you can hear it ring. No green indicator light, you can faintly see the clock in the background from the right angle.  But after a few minutes of opening and shutting the slide out it will come back on.

 

Any ideas???

I have had the same issue with mine in the past (Droid R2D2).  You can call Asurion and they will replace the device or you can just do a factory data reset and it will also resolve your issue. 

 

Factory data reset:  Go to Settings > Privacy > Factory Data Reset.  Follow the on screen prompts when it boots back up, make sure you write down or know your gmail account information before attempting this process.

 

Gmail will load your contacts and calander entries back into your phone, as well as paid applications and some of the free ones, the only thing you will have to do is recustomize your phone.
